Proctor Silex 4-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler - Black (31955) Reviews By CustomersWe bought this toaster oven about a month ago, to replace a 20-year-old Black and Decker that had just died. We've used our new Proctor Silex toaster oven at least a couple of times a day since then. Toasting, reheating leftovers, crisping up chicken -- we do it all with this oven. I initially had some problems with burnt toast, but was able to resolve them by learning to adjust the timer setting properly.
Pros: Very roomy inside, especially considering its small footprint. This toaster oven takes up no more counter space than our old 2-slice oven, yet can hold about 50% more food. The sliding glass top makes it easy to watch food while it cooks, and the crumb tray is a snap to clean. It's a versatile and good-looking appliance.
Cons: Slow to heat up. This oven is big enough that it really needs an additional heating element. When making toast, I have to preheat the oven for a couple of minutes before putting the bread in. Otherwise, the bread gets dried out before it's brown.
Would I buy it again? Maybe... although I'd look at the competition first.
It works real good like - Otis Funkmeyer - The City of Angels Baby!
Had it 3 years now and it's still tickin'. It's real perty and it does it's job. It's also inexpensive. What more do you want from me!?!?
Seriously.
Toaster Oven - P. Johnston - Idaho
This Proctor Silex toaster oven is the best one I have ever owned. It is deep enough for a small pizza, a pan of cornbread, or whatever you would use your big oven for. Makes great toast, too!! I love it and it is small enough to sit on the countertop. Works great.

Maxi-Matic ETO-180 Elite Gourmet 18-Liter Toaster Oven, Silver Reviews By CustomersPros: Big interier space, comes with all cooking accessories, easy to assemble, clear instructions. Cools of quickly, has a setting for the door to be open about 1/2 inch.
Cons: Black on silver makes the dials hard to read, The three settings (bake, brown and toast) are not defined in the manual. First time burning off the chemicals on the elements is VERY smokey! Smelled like I was melting a GI Joe in the thing! Set off my smoke detector it did!
Conclusion: An excellent buy for the money! Keep an eye on it (use a seporate timer until you get used to it) I had a potpie that went from perfect to slightly burned in 30 seconds (set off my smoke detector again)
Just what I wanted - Carol - Harlem,Ga.
I wanted a small oven to make chicken nuggets for my grandson(the microwave didn't do very good) And for small things it is great because I don't have to heat a big oven. It looks nice on the counter. No problems with it at all I'm glad I have it.

we need a toaster-oven that actually toasts, this one isn't very good. There is no toast button, only the timer which is used for the oven. It is hard to get the timing right and it takes forever to toast because the elements are so far away. The oven feature is fine.
