  • Hamilton Beach Toastation - Gray/Black Reviews By Customers
  • I bought this toaster oven despite some polarized reviews on various sites. I wanted a SMALL toaster oven. I listed Pros and Cons below, but let me explain. The packaging and handling was rough on this little toaster, as it had a dent. The box was sealed by manufacturer, but it looked like it was originally handled with very little care. No problem, the dent popped out and it looks normal now.

The controls are very simple. It toasted quickly. The baking sheet caught all the crumbs. I wrap the baking sheet in foil to protect it and keep it clean.

Baking is a snap, but you have to pay attention! First, it gets very hot. Your food sits close to the heating tube, so watch closely and turn the food. Second, this particular model does not automatically shutoff the oven. Keep your eye on it while baking!

I have actually baked a small piece of fresh salmon in this toaster and it came out fantastic! It was quick and it allowed me to avoid heating up my big oven to cook such a small piece of food. It was also super easy to clean once it cooled. I unplugged it and wiped the inside with a damp rag and let it dry. I am sure this will be a great little toaster for quickly serving hors d'oeuvre for parties, too.

Cons: toasts unevenly, very little height for food to bake, packaging and handling was poor, pay attention - the oven does not turn off by itself

Pros: fast, easy to clean, compact, fits all sizes of bread, very effective heating, user-friendly

It is a great little toaster oven!

Fine Value, but you might be disappointed if you are downgrading - Working Mom - Merry Maryland
I had a fancier toaster oven from Delonghi that I loved and used daily for almost 9 years. I also paid more three times more for it. So for a third of that price, I got this toaster and think it is a good value. Toasts bagels and breads pretty quickly, and evenly enough. I think it might even be faster than my old one, which is nice when you're running late like I always seem to be.

I haven't had much success with baking a couple of cookies in the oven part no matter how I adjust the temp (burned tops), but it is fine for things like pizza - but mind you, only once slice at a time. Just wish they made it a couple of inches taller and wider to accommodate more baking items, but that would alter the dimensions and as it is now, it is really slim and doesn't take up a lot of counter space, which I like.

The crumb tray in convenient and the cancel function works well. I was worried that the mechanism to change it from toaster to over would be weird, but the design works well. I use it daily, but just not for as many different things as I used my old expensive one. For the cost, I think it is fine and overall, I am pleased with this product.

The Toastation does everything I needed it to do. - Carlene T. Munro - Rochester, NY USA
I was looking for a small appliance that could toast thick slices of bread and bagels, but I also needed to warm or toast muffins, sandwiches, and other small items. After reading the reviews on Amazon, I was able to decide that this was exactly what I was looking for. True, you cannot put anything very high in the oven or it will burn the top of it, but after I got used to using it, all was fine. It looks very professional and sleek on my counter without taking up very much space. My husband thinks it takes too long to toast his bread and won't use it, but I use my time to prepare other foods. I couldn't be happier.

The old one worked better. This one if you use it in 12 for toasting a waffle it takes 3 or 4 times cycle.I in 2 it can toast it too much.
