Oster 6230 6-Slice Toaster Oven-Broiler, White Reviews By CustomersI have this model toaster oven, one big draw was the price (34.00) and another was the nice size. DH grumbled the whole drive home about what a waste of money this was and how it was going to get no use, and he has since been caught using this little apparatus on the sly LOL!
I have two little toddlers and making chicken fingers and tater tots is an absolute breeze - and I can acutally make enough for all of us. We just had popcorn shrimp tonite and it was very nice. Our gas oven sometimes dries things out as they bake but no problems with this little gem. Took only 15 minutes from the time I set the temp till I had nice steaming hot shrimp.:)
You have to read the instruction manual carefully to see how to set the timer (if you want less than 20 minutes you have to go past 20, then back to the time you want), there is a toast setting on mine and there are directions as to how to set that feature.
I don't think I am going to need my toaster anymore and my microwave might be going the way of the dodo after this purchase as well.
Can't wait to try it out on baking bread - it fits my standard loaf pan nicely. I also plan to get an extra rack and baking pan for it to increase capacity.
Overall, I am happy and glad I resisted the temptation to purchase the 17 dollar cheapie. 5 stars until is proves it deserves less!
Stay far away - -
This not a "toaster", its an oven. This thing is a complete piece of garbage. It is impossible to not burn toast to a blackened lump of coal unless you stand right in front of it and monitor the entire process. Once you figure out where to place the timer, it is impossible to get it back to that exact point given its poorly thought-out design. Get something with a static thermostat.
Toasting is a hastle - E. Scarbrough - Portland, OR USA
To toast, you turn a dial to turn it on and never know just how "done" it's going to get. They should have made it like a regular toaster where you can set the darkness with a dial, and just push a switch to start toasting. I bought this as a gift, and was embarrassed by it being to cumbersome.

Salton/Toastmaster TCOV6R Toastmaster .98 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven Reviews By CustomersThis is the perfect oven for me. I have to cook from a wheelchair. The door opens from the side so I don't have to reach over a hot door. The door also comes off easily for cleaning. The door coming off also makes the unit lighter to move around. This is the new model and has some improvements. My old one did not have a light or convection or rotisseri. I had my old one for 25 years and was very glad to find that Toastmaster still makes them. The new one has an extension in the back so you can use 12 inch round pans such as a pizza pan. I bake and broil everything in this oven. It works great. Of course it is too small for a very large turkey but you will be surpirsed what you can fit into it. It is very nice looking. The exterior is all stainless steel and very well made. I don't think you will be disappointed with this oven.
DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN!!! - David L. Brinson - Atlanta, GA
After broiling three buns for less than 5 minutes the door exploded. The oven had been off for about three minutes when the entire door shattered into a million pieces.
I found (searching the internet) that this has been a problem for years and they have done nothing to correct or to inform the consumer.
High Risk Purchase - Sybil C. Henry - Massachusetts USA
I bought this appliance last year and have had no problem with it. Until last night when I was broiling some Italian sausages, suddenly the door exploded sending red hot shards of glass all over my countertop, and bouncing off onto the floor. After most of the glass falls out the frame collapses into pieces. Two other reviews report the same problem, so I don't think I will even be bothering to try and find a replacement door. It's a hazardous product and I will NEVER buy anything from Toastmaster again. I noticed on the back of my oven that it was "made in China" Can we add this company to our ever growing list of garbage from China?????
Toaster went boom - J. Brown - Mississippi
First time it was used I was cooking a casserole. In about 15 minutes I heard a boom and the glass door had shattered into a thousand pieces all over the floor. The warranty division is sending a new one, but afraid to use it. Maybe I can make a door out of a piece of aluminum. Bad deal at any price.

Maxi-Matic ETO-113 Elite Cuisine 2-Slice Toaster Oven with 15 Minute Timer, White Reviews By CustomersI purchased this item because of it's small, compact size. We use it in our RV and it fits perfectly on the counter and stows away easily in a cupboard when not in use. It has most of the same features as larger toaster ovens and does a great job toasting bread, muffins or heating up a slice of pizza. It is easy to clean. I would recommend it for those looking for a compact size.

That crisp crunch? Microwaves can't do it. That chic stainless steel shine? Tough to find it. A reason to hold off on this deal? Sure can't think of one.
toasts unevenly but burns fingers consistently - H. Haladjian - New York, NY
This is clearly a product that has never been user-tested before going on the market, but I suppose "you get what you pay for". It's an affordable oven, not too ugly, and does an OK job. The primary annoying bit is the door handle and surfaces... they are a consistent source of finger burns (I now leave the door open after taking the food out and close it later in the day). The second equally annoying bit is the uneven toasting... if you don't turn your toast over and 180 degrees, it will burn on one end. You definitely need to monitor your food in this oven, especially since the toast settings on the knob are meaningless. And yes, the whole thing gets hot, but that's an easier annoyance to avoid. This toaster is essentially one step up from heating your food over an open flame.
Poor toasting control - M. Lowe - NH
It IS easy to burn your fingers. In addition it is a very poor toaster because the timer control (how you set the darkness of the toast) has such a wide range (to 30 mins) that the difference between untoasted and burnt is only a few degrees. The dials are very hard to read. Also the timer sometimes gets stuck on if you don't go to > 5mins then back . In the few months I had it, I had to throw away a lot of burnt toast and after the flaming toast incident, I ended up replacing it.
Emerson TOR49 "toaster" oven - Jason D. Bumgardner - Chicago
This little oven makes the old Easy Bake oven look like a powerhouse. The Emerson TOR49 is a complete piece of junk. It can't even toast bread!? How can they get away with selling such garbage? DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

Euro-Pro TO161 Convection 6-Slice Toaster Oven Reviews By CustomersWe live in a climate with hot summers and don't like to use the regular gas oven if we can avoid it. I bought this unit at our local HEB grocery for and am pleased with it.
Pros: It holds a 12" plate or pizza thanks to a curved bulge in the back
Comes with two racks and three different positions for them
The convection feature (a small fan that circulates the hot air) really does keep the temperature even
Due to the large interior size, food isn't too close to the heating elements, so you can use temp & time settings similar to a real oven
Cons: The racks don't slide in and out very easily; extreme caution is needed if using a casserole or anything else heavy
The settings around the dial are in very small print and it's hard to be sure you have them where you want them
Since there isn't a dedicated toast darkness feature, you have to set it every time on the mechanical timer and really watch to make sure you don't overtoast
Euro-Pro 6-Slice Toaster/Convection Oven - J. Finnegan - New Jersey
Extremely poor quality. Timer knob broke during the 4th use when the product was only 2 weeks old! The racks are not easily removed. It is truly junk!
it does the intended job - old cook - rottenchester, new york
within a couple of weeks, i grabbed the handle towards one side and it came off the other. but it goes back in place and "looks" okay. i am careful now to pull in the middle. i know, it's something you use all the time and should have better quality, but at 75, i am more forgiving. it's extremely useful and economical to cook, bake, grill for one person without turning on a big oven. so overall, i am most pleased. as a friend said, she'd rather spend fifty bucks and replace it new every year than 0 and have something go wrong.

Elite Professional Toaster Oven Broiler - ERO-2006S Reviews By CustomersWell, this is a great oven, extremely well design to make your cooking easier. LOVEEEEEE ITTTTT!!!
If it looks too good to be true.... - Inger - Pleasant Mount, PA United States
I thought this toaster-oven was too good to be true. Look at all the features! Well you can't use the top for steaming or cooking without the interior oven being on, which seems very counter-productive. Wanted a rotisserie, but this took forever to cook. The timer shuts off the oven with 10 minutes left to go!
Tried Ellios pizza slices... came out not crisp, not even hot after twice the time listed for baking in toaster-oven. You have to turn one dial to do this... Another dial to enable the first dial.
Perhaps someone else can find this a miracle toaster-oven but that won't be me. I am sorely disappointed. If it sounds too good to be true, it most probably is.

DeLonghi EO420 4-Slice Toaster Oven, Brushed Stainless Steel Reviews By CustomersPerfectly happy with the size and the look. I bought it primarily for toast and reheating pizza. I works fine. However I'm not happy with the controls. There a bit sloppy, requiring an extra effort to set the toast function, which has to be set each time the unit is turned on.
3 Strikes - this Toaster Oven is OUT! - Tamar Brooks - Los Angeles, CA USA
I really, really wanted this toaster oven. It was the perfect size and design and Amazon had it at a great price. I wanted modern looking Stainless Steel but not digital operation. Thought this was my answer. Well the first one they sent me shorted out my kitchen GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) plug. Every time I turned it on, it turned the electricity off. Moved it around to different plugs and the same thing happened.
So I sent it back and asked for a replacement. Amazon was happy to accommodate me. But the second one I received would not toast two cycles in a row. The first pair of bread slices would toast, but when I tried to follow up with a second pair of slices, it would never get hot enough to toast the bread. The bars would not even get read. So I ended up with hot, very hard bread that never browned or toasted.
So I sent the second one back and asked for a 3rd replacement. Again, Amazon was willing to give it another chance. But then the third toaster did the same thing the first toaster did. It shorted out every plug I tried in my kitchen making me re-set the GFI plugs. I thought perhaps they had sent me back the same toaster I had returned the first time. But I don't think so because of the way I know that I had packed up the warranty information papers. This seemed to be packed in the original manner that was done by the factory and not the way I had stuffed the papers into the toaster oven. So I sent it back again.
SAVE YOUR MONEY and FIND a DIFFERENT TOASTER OVEN! And if you find a good one, please review it on Amazon as I still have not found a decent toaster oven for my new kitchen.

Product OverviewsKrups high-speed quartz heating system takes masterful control of heat in the chamber. Each set of quartz heating element, both top and bottom, is alternately powered at the full 1600 watts to maximize the effect of radiant heat. The heat distribution is aided by a special reflective crumb tray that directs this important form of heat to all corners for excellent results. Convection heat, important for longer baking times, circulates heated air around the food for the best result in the fastest time. The defrost function uses the convection fan only and gently and evenly defrosts food without producing hot spots. This 6-slice toaster oven has temperature controls in 25 degree increments from 150-450 degrees, a digital timer from 1 minute to 90 minutes and an auto shut off after elapsed time. For toasting, it has 9 levels or browning with a countdown timer. Illuminated LCD control panel with easy to use controls and high quality soft touch buttons, it has a digital clock that displays when the cooking functions are not in use. The non-stick interior surface is durable and easy to clean. This unit includes a non-stick bake pan, broiling tray and thermal resistant tongs for safe removal of hot pans or food and comes with a 1-year warranty.
AWFUL! AVOID!!! FIRE HAZARD!!!!!!!!!!!! - J. Chipko -
I'll start off with if this toaster were to actually work, it would be very nice. It has great features, toasts wonderfully, and for the short time that it did work, my wife and I started using this instead of our actual oven for most things (other than her baking), but you could probably even use it for that. It looks very high-tech, and has a nice beep to let you know your food is done in case you are busy preparing other food or getting ready in the morning. Plus, if you recently used the toaster and it is still warm, it is able to self-adjust the toasting time so if you want it to be toasted to darkness #4, then it won't be burnt.
Now, in reality, this toaster is awful. My wife and I went through two of them because after 1-2 weeks of use of each one, the toaster would freeze during toasting. During the countdown of toasting, it would stop counting, display "Err" on the screen, and the toaster would stay on indefinately until you unplugged it. If you weren't watching the toaster, it would burn your food because there is no audible noise to say that something has gone awry. If you turned it on to bake something, and didn't pay attention, who knows how hot or long it would stay on for....maybe even start fire.
If this happened once, then fine. We returned the first toaster and got the second one. Well, the second one did the exact same thing. We finally decided to forget this brand and went with a Breville instead.
Not only did this happen to us on Amazon, but my parents had the exact same experience with this toaster when they purchased it through Macy's in 2009. When we called Krups about this awful experience, they noted that both the toaster from Amazon and from Macy's were manufactured in 2008 and had they not been able to be returned, the manufacturer's warrenty was no longer valid according to the woman on the phone for their customer service.
So, overall, and awful experience with this toaster. For the 2 weeks that it did work, it was great. However, due to the fact that 4/4 of these toasters malfunctioned to the point where they are a fire hazard, I would AVOID THIS TOASTER AT ALL COSTS.
Dangerous Toaster - H. Monroe Lovelady, Jr. - Penn Valley, CA United States
The controls freeze up and the toaster will not shut off unless you unplug it. This is a serious fire hazard. This is the second unit I've had with this problem. The problem appeared after only two days of usage. I returned the first one for a replacement thinking it was a fluke, only now to have the same problem with the second unit. It is going back and I am NOT getting another one.
Too bad, because it's a very nice unit with three heating elements on top and bottom which is difficult to find. I liked it otherwise, but I guess that doesn't matter since I don't want it to burn my house down.
Just ok for 3 years, then..... - Howius - Los Angeles, CA
Basically, this had been a standy for us in the kitchen. We put up with the fact that it took 8 minutes to toast toast, or the door that didn't really close after a while. It was an old friend, and we didn't make much of its inadequacies. Then, out of the blue, it stopped working. The elements no longer worked even though the electronics would. Turns out to fix it is just south of buying a new one, but I think I will steer clear of this one again. Nothing real special here, I'd say.

Black & Decker CTO650 Toast-R-Oven Countertop Oven/Broiler Reviews By CustomersI brought this oven for the second time around. Previously I owned this countertop oven for 3 and 1/2 years and it never failed me. It is a decent size and sits on the countertop without taking up too much room like some of the others out there. Dont know why people have rated it so low, but in my opinion its the best one out there. The price is well worth it, it grills fantastic and bakes muffins etc just like using a regular oven without heating up the house. I would certainly reccomend it !
Disappointing - Virginia Butkowski -
I bought this oven a little over a year ago and the oven portion just stopped working. The first one I bought was burning things and thought it was just a fluke, so I exchanged it for the same one. That was a mistake. It also takes forever to toast things. How can companies justify selling a product with only a 1 year warranty!! Cuisinart has 3 year warranties on their toaster ovens and great ratings.
Plain junk - M Brown -
I bought this oven 5 years ago. The toast/oven switch function on the top knob failed within a couple years, so I installed a replacement toggle switch which got it working again. Now the top front element failed, and I see this has happened to other owners of Black & Decker toaster ovens by searching for the problem online. It cannot be replaced. It is now in the garbage bin, and the next oven won't be a B&W.

Black & Decker TROS1500B SpaceMaker Traditional Toaster Oven, Black Reviews By CustomersIt's not easy to find a space saver toaster oven
The last one I had went on fire.
This black and decker toater oven seems good so far.
It takes some time to mount, but not impossible and you have to get use to the toasting feature. The idea here is not to leave the toaster oven unattended on the toast feature. I do wish this had come with a tray beacause it is deeper then the older models. In all I like it.
Not as good as the old model - Catherine e -
I had another one of these toasters for YEARS! Replaced it with this new one and I HATE IT! First there isn't a tray and I loved my old one to heat like pot pies and pizza, so I can't do that, very hard to make toast and it always burns! So Im sending it back!,
Happy cooking! - Carol T. Cook - Folsom, Ca.

The temperature control is accurate and the oven is easy to clean. I have a small kitchen so having it mounted under a cabinet is a plus!

Disappointed and surprised. - B. J. Christopher - Oklahoma City, OK
Timer knob broke after a few uses. Uneven toasting and baking. Very poor product. Disappointing and surprising because my other kitchenaid appliances work fine.
Unreliable with safety issues - wenfei - Texas
The KitchenAid brand typically stands for a product that is well made, reliable, and performs as stated. Obviously toaster ovens are not an area in which this company excels. We have had this toaster oven for only a month now and the mode selector mechanism has already failed! While turning the knob from toast to bake, I heard a metallic snapping sound as I arrived at WARM mode. After that, the knob just spun freely. Now I have an expensive warming oven! Since my oven is out of warranty, I decided to take it apart. I discovered that the switch mechanism was intact, but the knob itself was broken. Using a flathead screwdriver, I pried the knob off and twisted the switch back to toaster mode with pliers. The knob easily snaps back into place, but still spins freely. Cheaply made and unreliable! I also noticed a potential safety issue with the rack that is included. There is nothing to stop the rack from sliding out of the machine and onto some part of your body. On a number of occasions, that rack has come out while I was retrieving hot food. If you don't control your reflexive nature to stop the rack from sliding out, you could potentially burn a hand. God forbid if a small child is standing near you when the hot rack falls out onto the counter or floor.
Piece of junk from the start - A. Chanhboury - Honolulu
Bought this toaster from BestBuy because it looked nice and the removable tray for easy cleaning. But from the start, this toaster was a bust. It takes forever to heat up and you have to pre-heat even for toasting. Less than two years, this over priced toaster is TOASTED. Checked with KitchenAid for replacement parts but they don't make parts for this model. I'll never buy anything that says KitchenAid again!

Hamilton Beach 31180 Convection Oven Reviews By CustomersThis review is being transferred over from the other 31180 Toaster/Pizza Oven, which Amazon says is currently unavailable. They are both the same product. They wouldn't transfer my review or combine the two & name them properly, so I'm just transferring my old review & note the addendum at the bottom.
As I always do, I wanted to wait awhile before placing my review online. I want to make sure that I am giving the product a fair shake.
I got my HB Convection Oven in July of 2007, so I have definitely given it enough time to prove itself or screw up.
I have no clue what the other reviewer could possibly be talking about. This oven is phenomenal! Not only does it accommodate six slices of bread, it will cook a whole 12" pizza! I am not having ANY problems with any door pins. It is quiet as a mouse, whether in regular or convection mode. The fan isn't noisy. The dials are not on an angle. The coating does not come off when I remove the racks for cleaning. I'll bet that post was written by a jealous competitor!
I LOVE mine! It was worth every penny. I would buy it again and would not hesitate to give it as a gift. It doesn't even hold a candle to the Black & Decker that I had prior to purchasing this one. The timer has a loud enough ding that I can hear it from the living room. The compartment capacity is large enough that I can throw a whole chicken or roast with veggies in it without having to heat up my whole kitchen. That is a definite plus when you live in the desert! One of the things I like most about it is how it reheats leftover pizza. I like lots of cheese on mine & I like it cut in squares. In the old Black & Decker, half the cheese would melt off the sides of the pieces and fall to the bottom and burn. With the Hamilton Beach, it heats it up at just the right temperature so it gives it a perfect crispness and the cheese doesn't melt off and end up at the bottom of the oven.
I tested the temperature of mine, and it's off by 25 degrees, but it's no big deal. I just set it accordingly. It may take a little longer to cook toast than my old oven, but I have never burned it. I think the only thing I would change is to give it the drop-down cleaning feature that my old B & D had. This one has a somewhat flimsy bottom rack to catch drips. Just leave it in place whenever you cook, clean it often & you'll be fine.
Five thumbs up! Buy it!
Addendum: As the oven neared a year old, I noticed that the temperature seemed to be farther off than before, at times by 75-100 degrees. I contacted Hamilton Beach and they agreed to replace the unit with no qualms. They were very courteous and professional during the discussion & I would STILL recommend this oven to anyone interested.

Nice product - Larry kerman -
This item is everything that was advertised. I am able to bake bread, roasts, chicken, and many baked goods. Highly recommend for a low cost convection/toaster oven. The only negative i could say would be the convection oven itelf is not as good as the higher priced ovens, but very reasonable for the cost.

Burnt Offerings - Bartman - Los Angeles
DON'T BUY THIS TOASTER-OVEN!
I bought the oven 6 months ago because of it's easy-clean feature but the oven is a piece of junk. It burns just about everything.
Toast is either burned or not toasted. Any 2nd toast will always be burned. Don't try to even warm pizza - it burns.
Inner liner was poorly mfr and the rack sits crooked. Handle keeps coming off of the door.
This thing is going in the trash - I wouldn't even think of giving it away.
WORST TOASTER OVEN EVErrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - LUCILLE DISASTER - CALIFORNIA
SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED MY INSTINCTS WITH THE OTHER REVIEWS. HOW ON EARTH COULD TOASTMASTER COME OUT WITH SUCH A HORRIBLE PRODUCT? AFTER GOING THROUGH A HALF A LOAF OF BREAD, I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!! TAKES FOREVER FOR THIS OVEN TO HEAT UP & BURNS YOUR TOAST BEYOND RECOGNITION.... THOUGHT ABOUT DONATING IT TO SALVATION ARMY, BUT IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH THAT. WHAT A WASTE OF MY MONEY.... HOW SAD THAT ANYONE IS ABLE TO SELL THIS PRODUCT. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR BATTERIES OUT OF YOUR SMOKE ALARM. I DID GIVE THIS PRODUCT ONE STAR, BUT IF THERE WAS A ZERO THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I WOULD RATE IT.... A BIG FAT ZERO
description inaccurate - Ben Rosengart - Berkeley, CA
The description says "Accommodates 4 slices of toast, 5 lb. chicken, and 9" pie shell". However, I was not able to fit all three unless I placed the chicken inside the pie shell. Since I was trying to make blueberry pie, this wasn't really perfect. Buyer beware.

Black & Decker TRO4075B Toast-R-Oven 1500-Watt 4-Slice Toaster Oven Reviews By CustomersWhat I love about this oven:
convection bake
large capacity
temperature control (non-digital for fewer things to break)
2 rack positions
front pull out crumb tray
What I don't like:
It doesn't make me coffee or do my laundry
I've had this oven for two months. I thought convection baking would be a gimmick but it's not, that little fan works amazingly well. Freezer burritos look like mama made them from scratch. I use this oven more than I use any other appliance in my house, and it performs well. Heats quickly, maintains good temperature, quick toasting.
Black and Decker always satisfies!

Black & Decker TRO360 Toast-R-Oven Reviews By CustomersAlthough this arrived with a screw loose that I had to tighten, the unit works really well. It's small, light weight and very quick to toast breads fast and evenly. It has an extremly simple control system that is unbelievely easy to use. I bought this unit for a vacation home and I like it better than the much more expensive (and complicated)toaster oven I have at home.
The only negative is that the top gets quite hot when the unit is in use, otherwise I'm very happy with it.
You'll regret if you buy this one!! Seriouly! - M. chang - Sunny West Coast
The toast function broken in 2 months. It always flamed up if baking the salmon fish. (Scary and dangerous!!) I called B&D Customer Service, and they said this item was NOT manufacturered by B&D! (Why use the brand B&D if B&D won't be responsible for this oven?) The warranty works like this: Within the 1st year from the date of purchase, you have to call the customer service, and they will direct you to another manufacturer phone number. After you call this number, they will ask you to cut the electric plug with wire about 5~7 inches and send it to some address along with a copy of the recipt and a .00 check to cover the S&H for the replacement unit. That's not too much work, but very much frustrated! Buyer has to pay for the shipping costs for the defective unit. (I mean, the defective unit is manufacturer's fault, why should I pay for it?!) After you send your plug away before you receive your replacement unit, you have no oven to use! That's why I need a RELIABLE oven to rely on!! This toaster oven is not reliable, nor responsible!
Heating elements burned out - M. Hardy - Puget Sound, WA
The element on top burned out and B&D has stopped making this model. So the oven hanging hood can longer be used. They are replacing the oven and waiving the fee's since I can no longer use the hood.
This is the second replacement in less than I year.

Avanti Countertop Mini-Kitchen Oven - White Reviews By CustomersI have this Avanti Mini Kitchen Oven and am quite impressed with it...For the money, it has many wonderful features, very user friendly and built very well. Definitely would recommend.
Junk - M. Haghighi - CA, USA
I bought one of these as I moved into my small apartment. The moment I took it out of the box I had a bad feeling about it. It felt badly constructed and not very sturdy. The oven door wouldn't really shut tightly and the heat was seeking out. There was no temperaure control for the hot plates and after two month of occasional use it just died on me. I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody. Avanti should be ashamed of itself to put such a poorly constructed product on the market.
Not a review but I'm interested - M. Leach - North California
I do not own this product but am curious about it.
I have read a few reviews elsewhere and folks seem to like it, but one reviewer wrote that it was not built very sturdily, and that the hotplates can only be set to "high"; not low or medium. If true that seems odd and not useful for cooking to me.
I really hope someone will write a review here as it is an interesting product for very compact cooking.
I may end up getting a separate countertop convection oven/rotisserie and a couple of hotplates, because I am wary of multiple purpose appliances where one function may break down.
Word to the wise; DON'T BUY ONE - G. Balmes - Washington
I purchased mine from the Gevalia catalog several years ago and may be slightly different ( the door that is)
Though it cooked OK it was the mess. Ever time I cooked a a package of chicken thighs or legs, a huge amount of grease leaked from the bottom of the door onto the kitchen counter. Cleaning the oven bottom was like cleaning a conventional oven, all crusted and all. I could never get the top burners to work so I gave the Avanti to some friends when my brother and sis-in-law gave me there Thane Flavorwave. World of difference you can cook a pizza in one of those but not in the Avanti. So a word to the wise, DON'T BUY ONE (Avanti)

Maxi-Matic EKA-9210B Elite Cuisine 4-Slice Toaster Oven Broiler, Black Reviews By CustomersI bought this on a black-friday sale for with free shipping. It was so cheap, I had doubts. Over a month or two by now, and it works just fine.
It's a toaster. Personally, I don't think there is a difference in taste of toast coming from this toaster or a 0+ fancy toaster oven.
HOWEVER: You do get what you pay for.
Without having a lot of experiences with toaster ovens, it does seem to be less functional than the description and the controls state/imply.
I only use it with the top knob on "TOAST" and the bottom dial as a timer.
The other functions "BAKE" "BROIL" ... and "OFF" don't have any use to me.
When the timer is done, it turns off automatically and has a loud 'ding' (a good thing) or you just turn the timer to off manually if you want to end it early.
It does get HOT. But all/most Toaster Ovens probably do these days.
Never heard of this brand, but it's a good/durable/functional decent low end budget toaster oven ... Which you should keep your eye on (or use a tracking program) to get a REALLY REALLY GOOD PRICE!
OH YEAH ... If you make toast, then immediately make more toast, the internal thermostat will usually shut off the heating element for a portion of the toasting time (for safety) ... but then you have to add more time once it dings. Personally, I leave the oven door open if I am going to re-use it very soon so the internal temperature cools enough to prevent the thermostat from triggering. It works.
Not Up To Par - J. J. Sordi - Los Gatos,Ca
I was looking for a simple toaster oven to replace my old Panasonic. Unfortunately, this is not it. It takes forever for the toast to get done and then it is unevenly toasted. I dug the old Panasonic back out of the garage. I'll give this one to Goodwill.
Worth the price - Robert M. Nadler -
A decently made unit that does what it's supposed to do and will probably last for a while. It doesn't toast evenly, but that's not unusual for these units. You can even things out by flipping the toast halfway through the toasting. Notification and delivery were quick and the price was ok.
Badly Designed - Avid Cook - Palo Alto, CA
I purchased this toaster/over hoping to save some $$, sight unseen. After using it for about 3 months I noticed a couple really bad design issues that people should be aware.
First, the unit does not automatically turn-off when the door is opened. So when you open the door to remove some toast before the Time control has turned the unit off, the heating elements stay on and continues to burn. There needs to a way to automatically turn off the unit when the door is opened.
Second, and worse yet, the Time control is designed so that it's stop limit (the point where it physically stops) is the "STAY ON" setting. When you try to turn the unit off manually (like if your toast is burning for example), the Time switch doesn't physically stop at the "OFF" position - it's really easy to bypass this position - and ends up in the "STAY ON" position. This has happened to me a few times already.
Overall this unit is a safety recall waiting to happen. I would love to hear that this has been fixed on subsequent units, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to either send it back or discard it as being too dangerous for normal household use.

try another oven - the girls - thomasville ga
We have owned this at our vacation home for 2 years. It gets so hot it warped our countertop - we now have it on top of a cutting board to insulate the heat. The heat actually discolored the top and it is now concave. Timer and heat control have both broken (were relatively easy to fix). Very poor quality - especially since it only gets used a few weeks a year! If we used it more often I would through it away and buy another.
it can catch on fire! - a bran - san diego, ca United States
I love this oven for its compactness and cute appearance. But beware! The minute dial will turn past "off" and the oven will stay on when you think you it is turned off. Sometimes I walk out of the kitchen when I am cooking, but thank God I was in the kitchen, just happened to look inside the toaster and saw flames!! We were seconds away from a big fire. I would not purchase this product, and I plan to contact the company to find out why it has not been recalled.
horrible, horrible toaster - catches on fire - Susan - Baton Rouge, LA, US
this was a horrible purchase; I have had a toaster oven for over 20 years with no problems (Black & Decker).
While visiting my daughter in her new apt., I asked if she'd like a toaster oven. She said sure, I purchased and had it shipped directly to her. Thought the Sunbeam brand was reputable.
It has caught fire several times - with no crumbs hanging around the bottom. Of course, by the time I found this out, allotted time to return had expired.
I recently moved, and instead of tossing old toaster, cleaned it up and moved it with me - still working like a charm for over 20 years - no fires ever, and sometimes there are a lot of crumbs in the bottom!

Black & Decker TRO210 Toast-R-Oven, White Reviews By CustomersI guess I was lucky. I got mine for free. I had a coupon, and found it on sale, so I didn't pay anything for it.
I've had the toaster for several months now, and I use it once or twice every week. It makes a buzzing noise for 3 or 4 seconds after it is turned on, but that is not really a problem.
I use it for toast, taco shells, hot ham & cheese sandwiches, heating up frozen hamburger buns, and cooking fries.
I wish there was a way to install it under the counter, but I haven't had any trouble with it.
I prefer the real classic to this "Classic" - H. Mack - WA, USA
After 14 years, our old BD toaster oven broke down (a sad day). We basically wanted the same thing - dependable, effective, easy to use (for us and the kids), and able to fit under the counter. We assumed we'd get that with this newer model. Alas, we were wrong.
It took much much longer to toast bread. There is no under-the-counter feature. You can't have it set on the same "Medium" each time - there's a dial that you have to turn to the precise spot each time you use it. My kids never got the hang of it. So we were lucky if we actually got toast when not watching the machine like a hawk. Plus, there is no safety feature that turns off the heating element when the door is open (did I mention I have kids? They're very helpful, but often curious). Then there's the constant ticking, which will make noise even if the toaster is not plugged in...meaning I waited a few times for toast that had no chance of heating up.
After about a week, we realized it was not a suitable replacement for our old-reliable, and we took it back. Now we're on the hunt for a good toaster oven...again. So, I do not recommend this to any consumer, but I do recommend to Black and Decker that they bring back the good-ol-toaster oven of old.
